Our Story and Why We Are Adopting
Brian and Josephine met volunteering for their church’s youth group in Dallas, TX in 2018. Brian thought
Josephine was beautiful and stunning the moment he first saw her but thought that she was way out of
his league. Although all the volunteers got along well with one another, they always enjoyed spending
time with one another a bit more than the others. For three years, they developed a strong friendship that
would later become the foundation of their future marriage.
Brian finally asked Josephine on a date in the summer of 2021 and took her to a local pizza place where
they had a great time, laughing and joking like they had all these years before they dated. After several
dates getting coffee, walking around the lake, and having picnics, they got married and started their family
in January 2023.
Volunteering for the church continues to be an integral part of their life. They both still serve as small
group leaders for 7th and 8th grade teens, mentoring them in topics of faith and supporting them through
life’s challenges and struggles. Helping young people to find their place in the church community and
giving them the tools to pray and have a relationship with God has been one of the great joys of their
lives.
One of the things that they bonded over from the beginning was music. They were both shocked to
discover that they both loved some of the same bands that they thought no one had ever heard of before.
They have been to many concerts together and have created so many unforgettable memories at each
one. Some of their favorites have been LANY, Kacey Musgraves, and Coldplay.

They would also describe themselves as lifelong learners. They both love to read and love to deep dive
into topics of faith, history, and nutritional health. With a background in classical education, reading the
great books and studying philosophy, they both developed and continue to cultivate a love of learning and
pursuit of knowledge in their daily lives.
Even during the early stages of dating, they would talk about their future together and how excited they
were to have children and build a family. Now having been married for 2 years and knowing each other
for 7 years, building a strong foundation of love, supporting one another, and creating shared
experiences, they know that they are ready to open their hearts and their home to a child. With extended
family and their church community behind them, they are confident that they will be able to provide a safe,
stable, caring, and nurturing home where a child can grow and thrive. They are so excited to share their
lives with a child and cannot wait to take them to the park, bake cookies with them, read them stories, and
tell them they are chosen and loved each and every day.

Why Adoption?
When Josephine was a teenager, she began having health issues and knew very early on that it would be
very difficult for her to have children, however she grew up with a great desire to grow a family and be a
mom. When Josephine disclosed this to Brian while they were dating, he reassured her that God would
bless them both with children, whether it be through natural means or adoption. They have always seen
adoption as a beautiful pathway to building a family that God would call them to if it was in His plan for
them. Now after many discussions and time in prayer, they feel that call to begin taking steps to adopt.
They look forward to meeting their future child(ren) and they thank you for taking the time to learn more
about them and consider them as you make the best decision for your child. They can understand that
this process must be difficult and nerve wracking for you. They hope that getting to know them through
this profile will put your mind at ease and know of their prayers for you as you navigate all your options.
