About Brian
Brian was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. His Dad currently works for Boeing while his Mom recently retired from a 40+ year career working as a loan officer for a local credit union. Brian is an only child and spent his childhood playing with his cousins and neighborhood friends. Growing up, Brian’s parents would take him to church every Sunday and faith quickly became a core aspect of Brian’s life. At the age of fourteen, Brian attended a Catholic conference for young people where speakers would preach the gospel and invite all the attendees to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It was at this conference that Brian had an encounter with Jesus Christ and decided to take ownership of his faith.

Brian spent his middle school and high school years playing percussion in band, excelling in advanced classes, and participating in his local church’s youth group, and singing in his church’s youth choir. Upon graduating in the top 10% of his class, Brian went on to attend the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). However, halfway through his freshman year of college, Brian decided to serve as a missionary for a Catholic organization called NET Ministries. NET (National
Evangelization Teams) Ministries, was a non-profit that would send out teams of 18-28 year old young adults across the United States, putting on faith-based retreats for middle and high schoolers. Serving with NET Ministries was one of the most amazing and difficult years of Brian’s life.

After Brian’s year of serving with NET, he decided to attend the University of Dallas (not to be confused with University of Texas at Dallas or UTD), which is a small private liberal arts school in Irving, Texas. UD’s study abroad program also gave him the opportunity to study in Rome and Greece, visiting many of the sites which were foundational to the western theological tradition. Brian completed his studies with a bachelor's degree in Business and through UD’s 4+1 program got his masters in Cybersecurity.

During Brian’s senior year of college, he was invited to volunteer at a parish in Dallas, where one his best friends from NET was now working as a youth minister. It was that first night of volunteering where Brian would meet his future wife, Josephine. For three years, Brian and Josephine’s friendship grew as they served alongside one another as small group leaders and mentors to young people. In the summer of 2021, Brian finally asked Josephine on a date and the rest is history.

Brian now lives with Josephine in Richardson, TX (about 15 minutes outside of Dallas) and works in cybersecurity consulting where he advises other companies on how to improve their information security programs. He loves that his job is fully remote and allows him the flexibility to devote time to his hobbies and volunteering. In his free time, Brian enjoys running, reading, watching movies with his friends, playing volleyball, and cooking. He has run a couple marathons and most recently ran his first ultra marathon where he ran 50 kilometers (31.1 miles). Brian and Josephine continue to volunteer for their church’s youth group.
For Brian, being a father has always been one of his biggest dreams. He was blessed with parents that taught him to be a man of character that puts his complete trust in God with all things. Brian is so excited to raise his future children with Josephine and raise them to be virtuous and know that they are loved. Above all, Brian’s prayer is that God gives him the grace to be a loving husband to his wife and loving father to the children He places in his care.
