Josephine's
Family

Josephine is the second oldest in a family of 6 children. Growing up in east Dallas, Josephine loved to spend time with her siblings and still considers them her best friends. Her older sister, Malia lives in Dallas with her own family and is expecting her fifth child in 2025! Josephine will occasionally babysit her nieces and nephews for her sister and currently watches the youngest once a week. Josephine’s younger sister, Leilani, also lives in Dallas and is soon to be married. Leilani is in charge of the youth program at the same church that Josephine and Brian volunteer at and attend. Josephine’s brother, Hartwell, lives with his family outside of Houston and works in the oil industry. Josephine’s other brother, Brooks lives in the Dallas area and grew up playing golf and currently works as a golf coach for young people. Last but not least, Josephine’s youngest brother, Yarnell is still in high school and loves to play guitar and basketball. Josephine’s mom is a stay at home mom and is Josephine’s biggest role model. Even now, Josephine’s mom works tirelessly to love and support her husband and children and provide them with everything they need. Josephine’s dad is also a strong, loyal, and dependable leader for his family.

Brian's Family

Brian was born to his parents, Alan and Lydia in El Paso, Texas. Although Brian does not have any siblings, he spent his childhood playing with his cousins and friends from school. From a very young age, Brian’s parents taught the importance of faith by word and by example. Both Brian’s parents were involved in ministries that served the church. Brian remembers his parents serving as mentors to young couples preparing to get married through a ministry called, Engaged Encounter. Throughout his teen years, Brian’s parents would volunteer their gifts, time, and talents to help put on faith-based retreats for adults. This exposed Brian to many opportunities to help serve the Church and learn about the Catholic faith from members of the community. Brian also grew up with a love and appreciation for music from his Dad who is a skilled and talented drummer. Brian played percussion in middle and high school band and loved competing in band competitions and performing for Friday night football games. Brian and Josephine are blessed to be able to spend time with Brian’s parents throughout the year and will either visit with them in El Paso or host them in Richardson.
